Let’s Get Started

Book your first session — if it's not the right fit, you don't pay. No risk, no obligation, just a real conversation to see if we work well together.

What to Expect:

Before your first session: When you book below, you'll receive an email with a link to your client portal. There you'll complete some brief intake paperwork — basic contact info, what's bringing you to therapy, and a few consent forms. Most people finish in 10-15 minutes. This helps us hit the ground running when we meet. (If you are a current client, skip the paperwork or login.)

Your first session: This is a full 50-minute session where we'll dig into what's going on for you, start building rapport, and define some initial goals for our work together. It's a real session, not a sales call — you'll leave with something useful whether or not we continue.

If we're a good fit and you want to keep going, you'll pay for the first session when you book your second. If it's not the right match, you owe nothing.

If we decide to work together: Most clients begin with weekly sessions, but we'll find a rhythm that works for you. You'll have access to your client portal to manage scheduling, paperwork, and payments.

If it's not the right fit: No hard feelings. I'm happy to offer referrals to other therapists who might be a better match. The goal is to get you the right support, even if that's not with me.

Can't find a time that works? Contact me and we'll figure it out together.

FAQ

What if I need to cancel or reschedule? Life happens. I ask for at least 24 hours notice when possible. You can reschedule directly through your client portal bro you contact me directly.

Do you take insurance? I'm out-of-network with most insurance plans but can provide superbills for potential reimbursement. I also see some clients through Aetna and BCBS of Minnesota — contact me if you'd like to check options.

What's the difference between therapy and coaching? Therapy is for deeper work — processing emotions, healing old patterns, working through anxiety or identity struggles. Coaching is more skill-focused — building confidence, preparing for high-stakes situations, practical tools for showing up differently. Not sure which you need? We can figure that out together in our first session.

I'm nervous about starting therapy. That's completely normal. Most people feel that way. And since you only pay if you decide to continue, there's no risk in showing up and seeing how it feels.
